Jens Birkholzer, hydrogeologist and Division Director of Energy Geosciences, has joined the editorial board of the International Journal of Greenhouse Gas Control (IJGGC) as the Associate Editor for CO2 geological storage.
As an associate editor, Birkholzer will ensure that the scientific quality and impact of the journal remains high. His research interests in evaluating the feasibility and environmental sustainability of subsurface energy applications align well with the key journal aims in the area of CO2 storage.
The IJGGC (which is part of the Elsevier publishing company) is the flagship journal for CO2 capture and sequestration research, with a 5-year impact factor of 4.7. It is a peer reviewed journal focusing on scientific and engineering developments and reaching audiences in the power sector and in other major resource, manufacturing and production industries.
