The Energy Geosciences Division invites you to the first EGD Seminar Series “Get To Know Your Postdocs”
Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 2:30-4:00 in room 74-104
The objective of this seminar series is to provide EGD Postdocs with the opportunity to present their science and improve their visibility within the division, to share their skills and area of interest with other Postdocs and scientists, and to promote opportunities for Postdocs to build relationships with scientific staff outside of their work groups.
The four presentations are:
> Amrita Bhattacharyya – Biogeochemical cycling of carbon and iron in humid tropical forest soils
> Shan Dou – Seismic monitoring of the near surface using optical fibers
> Alejandro Queiruga – Simulation of Hydraulic Fracture Propagation using Fully-Coupled Peridynamics, Thin-Film Flow, and Darcian Flow
> Kyung Jae Lee – Hydrocarbon thermal recovery from kerogen in oil shale: analytical and numerical approaches
