Biography
Chaincy Kuo is a geophysicist in the Climate and Ecosystem Sciences Division. Joining CESD in 2015, she returns to Earth sciences after specializing in optical tomographic methods, in particular in vivo preclinical diffuse multi-spectral optical reconstruction methods for fluorescent, bioluminescent, and radio-labeled biomarkers. Dr. Kuo has enjoyed a wide-range of tomographic research involving wave propagation and scattering, including Earth normal mode tomography with the University of California Berkeley Seismological Laboratory and experimental particle astrophysics with the University of California Space Sciences Laboratory.
