Biography
As EESA’s science communications lead, Christina Kosta Procopiou manages strategic communications initiatives and projects that convey EESA’s research on climate science, energy, and water to broad audiences. Christina collaborates with members of the Communications staff and various stakeholders to translate EESA’s complex work into compelling narratives and visual content for social media, websites, news media, and government and community relations. She previously worked as a Tech and Science reporter for Newsweek and served many years as editor in chief for the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin where she established and led the multiple award-winning Wildflower magazine to increase awareness and support for the Center’s scientific research and conservation work.
