Biography

Emily Bercos-Hickey is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Climate and Ecosystem Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her research interests include using global and regional climate models to examine extreme weather events and the complex meteorology over North Africa, specifically African easterly waves. She received a BA in Mathematics from Carleton College, an MSEd. from the University of Pennsylvania, an MS and PhD in Atmospheric Science from UC Davis, and has previously taught high school mathematics.
