Biography

Ilhan Ozgen is an affiliate faculty in the Energy Geosciences Division at Berkeley Lab. He is an Assistant Professor at Technische Universitat Braunschweig, Germany, where he works on process-based environmental modeling. His research focuses on multi-scale and high-performance numerical modeling of flow and transport processes in urban and environmental systems. He co-develops SERGHEI, a Kokkos-based portable high-performance code for environmental applications with a fully dynamic shallow flow core.

Research Interests

environmental fluid mechanics, reactive transport modeling, high-performance computing
