James W. Rector is a Professor of GeoEngineering with the University of California, Berkeley, in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research expertise and interest include geophysics, oil and gas, unconventional shale gas reservoirs, horizontal drilling, fracking, near surface seismology, tunnel detection, treasure hunting, and geophysical archaeology, and borehole seismology.
