Biography
Jeremy Snyder is a producer and multimedia specialist with the communications team at EESA. His work combines photography, videography, digital illustration, and storytelling to help explain Berkeley Lab’s research and its impact on society.
Jeremy has taken a winding path through working at Berkeley Lab, starting in 2020 as a SULI intern with EESA’s Watershed Function SFA, then stints at the Molecular Foundry and the Lab’s K-12 Education and Outreach team, and now back at EESA. Throughout all of these roles, he has combined his backgrounds as a photographer and science lover into visual-centric styles of science communication that excite people and allow them to see and understand the world in new ways.
Before coming to the lab, Jeremy studied Biology and Geology at Pomona College, and then traveled the Amazon River from source to delta on a Thomas J Watson Fellowship focused on using photography to explain the science of river systems.
