Biography

Jing Tao is a project scientist in the Climate and Ecosystem Sciences Division. Dr. Tao works on terrestrial ecosystem modeling with a focus on the coupled interactions between eco-hydrological and biogeochemical processes, particularly the water and carbon cycles and their feedback to climate change. Dr. Tao has a broad research background, including hydrology, hydroclimatology, hydrobiogeochemistry, and permafrost carbon-climate feedback. She has participated in LBNL Terrestrial Ecosystem Science (TES) Scientific Focus Area (SFA) soil warming experiments, permafrost greenhouse gases (CO2 and CH4) emissions, and other projects related to water and carbon cycles.
