Biography

Dr. Karol Kulasinski is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of California-Berkeley. He is currently involved in the project “Radionuclide immobilization by clays” with Prof. Laura Lammers and in collaboration with Prof. Ian Bourg and Prof. Garrison Sposito. The aim of this project is to investigate, using Molecular Dynamics simulations, the preferential adsorption of cesium ions within the layered structure of clay minerals. His research expertise is in atom-scale physics and ranges from statistical thermodynamics, through mechanics, to nuclear engineering.
