Biography
Tsubasa Sasaki is a Postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Hydrogeology at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Tsubasa’s research interest includes, but not limited to geomechanical modelling and distributed fiber optic strain monitoring with particular focus on the well integrity in deep subsurface formations. He obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Tokyo, Japan, and PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK. At LBNL, Tsubasa has been conducting research on the geomechanical modelling of geological nuclear waste repositories and the analysis of well integrity in subsurface formations containing active faults.
