Biography

Dr. Yang Zhou is a Research Scientist in the Climate and Ecosystem Sciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her research interests include tracking and understanding climate extremes, including the extreme moisture transport (known as atmospheric rivers), as well as climate variability and prediction. Here at Berkeley Lab, she continues her research on understanding the variability and predictability of weather extremes.

Research Interests

Atmospheric rivers; Large-scale climate variability; Tropical meteorology; Subseasonal-to-seasonal prediction and predictability; climate change
