Biography

My research focuses on modeling land dynamics in tropical forest regions and its impact on climate change. I plan to build spatial-temporal models to generate long-term, realistic projections of future land use cover changes in tropical forest regions, at regional to global scale, and predict its impact on climate change. My research includes both human-induced land use changes and natural disturbance.

Research Interests

Spatial simulation modeling on forests and land dynamics change:

  • Measuring land use and land cover change using GIS and Remote Sensing
  • Exploring links between land dynamics changes and drivers statistically and geographically
  • Model land use changes and environmental impacts
