A one-of-a-kind Berkeley Lab program announced over the summer (with the name M37) has officially launched this month with a new name and a first cohort of innovators. “Cyclotron Road” will be home to eight scientists-slash-entrepreneurs working on six cutting-edge clean energy technologies. On Thursday, November 20 from 4:30 to 7:00 pm the Lab community is invited for a meet-and-greet with the first cohort in Building 15, Room 253.
One of the young innovators, Deepak Dugar from MIT, will be working with JBEI-ESD’s Steve Singer, to develop the next generation of biocatalysts and processes for converting renewable feedstocks into chemicals and fuels at a price point competitive with petroleum-based processes.
