ESD geochemist Carl Steefel was one of the key developers (along with CRD’s David Trebotich) of Chombo-Crunch, a reactive flow code that could enhance efforts to develop carbon sequestration as a way to address the Earth’s growing carbon dioxide challenges—and lead to new safety measures in the oil and gas industry and aerospace engineering.
